New skirts

Skirt using bottom of this shirt
Old hem turned into new waistband
I also added a contrast band at skirt bottom (to lengthen it also)
and two buttons to cover up the fact that I forgot to match the side seams of the contrast band with the skirt piece, he he...
So this skirt was made in just two steps: thread elastic through casing (old hem) and sew a contrast band

Easy to make
I think it would be cuter if it was made above knee-high
This skirt is a bit long for E, maybe we would save it this for next summer

I doodled some flowers with fabric marker

Unexpected bolero from a shirt

I love read tutorials but I don´t always follow them
Like this bolero
I wanted to make ones like this

But the result is: bolero with pleats

Instead of top stitch, I did decorative stitch
Emmi love the strawberry button
I made thread chain for button closure.
Did I tell you about my new clothing label? Here is it.

Bloomers/Shorts with gathered big pockets

Remember this dress?
I save the bottom of the shirt for this project:
gathered big pockets

Cut the bottom of the shirt like this shape
Cut a piece of elastic which is shorter than the top of pockets, thread it through the already-made-casing. Sew in place
Fold 1/4" around the curves than sew pockets on the shorts

Next steps are optional: turn shorts into bloomers

Knickers for kids/toddlers from lounge baby pants - only one steps

My daughter worn this pants in her baby time with a matched tunic

Now it becomes short, but the waist still fits

I turned it into a knickers in just one step: Sew stretch lace at the end of pants legs . Make sure the length of the lace is smaller than the pants legs, stretch the lace when sewing to have gathered pants legs

Dress with exposed zipper, pleats and bow - Mini tutorial

a shirt, zipper and coordinated fabric
Length of zipper is your choice. Mine is 7" but I think a 5" zipper would make a nice empire waist look.
(I was lucky enough to have zipper and fabric in the same color as neckline binding.)

A zipper is not a must. I did this because the neck of the shirt isn´t big enough for my kid´s head to get over.
I sewed an exposed zipper like THIS
Cut off the bottom of the shirt below the zipper, save them for another project
For the skirt piece, I prefer this tutorial, but I did pleats instead of gathering
Last step: make a bow and sew it to cover the end of the zipper.
